I just received the following from Bob Rouse from the National Arborists
Association (NAA), the secretariat for the ANSI A300 Standard Committee.
Getting the word out to the ANSI membership is very important so that our
organization will have a voice in writing the standards. The more people
who participate, the more imput our organization will have.

Bob Rouse writes:
"The public comment period for ANSI A300 Part 3 - Tree Support Systems
has begun. The comment period is January 28 to March 28, 2000."

"The draft is available to all as a PDF file on the NAA website:
www.natlarb.com There is a link on the frontpage under industry information
that leads to the PDF file location for downloading. There is also a link
to the adobe web page for commenters who need to get Acrobat Reader."
