I am just inquiring if any arborists could reinforce my thoughts that the sap from Fig trees is an irritant that can cause blisters in the sun, as I have worked on one recently, and at the time it made my arms incredibly itchy and over the next few days my arms came up in big blisters. Does anybody else know anything about or know any websites where I might be able to find some info on the subject. Thanks.

Note: Is it just me or the few times i have
pruned,removed, stumped a Juglans nigra,
the exposed skin surfaces blisters upon blisters.
The arms swell considerably. It has something to
do with the juglone hormone. Maybe i am more of
a plant than i thought i was.

My GP gave me a cortisone cream. One application
in teh morning and one at night. It took about
weeks before all the scabs fell off

I was told by someone else that if you wash
within three hours, the irritation would
be severely reduced

Secondly, regarding the toxic plant list,
why isnt Oleander on the list?
