Note: Is it just me or the few times i have pruned, removed, stumped a Juglans nigra, the exposed skin surfaces blisters upon blisters. The arms swell considerably. It has something to do with the juglone hormone. Maybe i am more of a plant than i thought i was. My GP gave me a cortisone cream. One application in teh morning and one at night. It took about weeks before all the scabs fell off I was told by someone else that if you wash within three hours, the irritation would be severely reduced Secondly, regarding the toxic plant list, why isnt Oleander on the list? |
