when initially planting a tree do you:
A: use a tree tie that allows movement of the tree to encourage strong root growth due to small stresses, along the lines of the axiom of uniform stress???
B: use a tree tie that holds the tree firm allowing the new roots to grow into the surrounding soil without being sheared off by movement of the root ball???
