I would like to know others oppinions on the effect of excessive amounts of magnesium in the soil in relationship to the death of a White Oak Tree. A sample in the top 6" is excessive, but at 18" deep in the same hole it is medium. I can find the results of insufficient amounts, but not any results of too much.

Thanks,

lew

have you had any tissue assays? This would be more informative than soil testing, I think.

How did the magnesium get to those high levels? What material was applied, and what are the other element levels?
