Where can I find out how to combat Lurp. We have many Eucalyptus Blue Gums which are dying due to Lurp. We also have an abundance of Bell birds.
Is there any direct injection/chemicals that can be used on the trees?
Does controlling the Bellbirds help?
My understanding is the Bellbirds are attracted to the Lurp as the Lurp secrete a sugary substance and the Bellbirds chase other Lurp eating birds away. It is the Lurp that kills the trees. Is this correct?
Any help/info/books on this would be appreciated.
