We have a formal hedge that has been neglected, I found signs of severe scale/ mealey bug infestation.

Has anyone seen good results with soil injection of Merit? The Mealey bug is easily controled with a contact, but Ive seen problems with hard scale control in the past.

Hey John I havent tried merit on Taxus, but I have had excellent control with Horticultural Oil and Tempo during the crawler stage. I think its 1 and a half cups of oil per 5 gallons water and half a teaspoon of Tempo per 5 gallons of water. ( or 2 gallons oil/100 gallons water and 1 and a half oz of Tempo/ 100 gallons water
