There can be many reasons a tree will die. Usually it takes a long time, but it is possible that a disease infection will grow undetected, and the tree will appear to die quickly. The only way to know what caused the death would be an on-site investigation, looking for signs of insect or disease problems. Anything else would be just guessing. |

The most common mimosa disease is a wilt for which there is no treatment I know of. Remove all parts of the dead tree, especially the "leakage". Avoid wounding your other mimosa. Consider replanting a less-disease-prone tree. Vitex can be a good replacement for mimosa in the right site. An arborist on site can manage your trees to add value to your home --see www.isa-arbor.com |
