DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY GOOD INFORMATION OF GROWING TREES IN PAHRUMP. NEVADA AREA--NEAR VEGAS?? THE PLACE WE BOUTH HAD FRUIT AND PISTACHIIO NUT AND PINE TREES. WE ARE LOSING THE FRUIT TREES EACH YEAR TO BORERS AT FIRST AND LAST YEAR FOUND GRUBS? IS THERE ANY HOPE. THE CROWS GET TO THE PISTACHIO NUTS BEFOR WE DO.... ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS

You can apply some pyrethroid or systemic insecticide (for ex. danadim - see the link or thiamethoxam (p) diacloden (rej.) ACTARA CRUISER from Novartis Crop Protection AG - this last we successfully tried with microinjectors this year on Norway spruses) to kill borers, but they don't infest healthy trees, try to define remissive factors and exclude their influence on trees. Trees will also need some supporting therapy.
