We have isp beetle infestation in our Monterey Pines. We are having the infected trees cut and removed from the property and have been told that we should also spray to help protect the uninfected trees.

I was told we could spray now, prior to the beetles hibernation this winter and then we should spray 3 applications next year, in May, July and Aug/Sept. Does that seem correct or is this a little overkill? I have been quoted around $40 for a visit and then approximately $20 per tree to spray for each application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
