Has anybody had experience using Imicide injections or, for that matter, Merit, soil applied, for controlling borers and galls? I have heard that it can be effective but not confident on these claims. Any better treatment other than spraying lindane, which i still have.

I have heard excelent anicdotal evidance for soil injection and control of birch borer as long as there is not significant girdleing of stems/branches. some have told me they are not too sure of the efficacy for pine borers, wich it is (was? I have not read it for 2yrs) labled for.

I would like to know about any information you
were able to find. We are doing a College project on borers.
You may be able to get help at our college web-site.
