Hi

I have three trees (a crabapple and two maples) that budded nicely this spring, but are not producing leaves. They are young trees, planted in the last two years. My other trees seem to be doing well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Peel a bud back and see if there is any green. Transplant shock can kill several years after instalation.

Also look to see if twine is still around the butt of the tree, this is a common problem and cause of failure of an insatalation several years down the road.
