Loss of 90% foliage very bad sign. Tree co. should be able to give you name of disease if they cite it. Your county ag extension may help if you take them samples. I've never known a maple to recover but I don't work with Norways. see www.isa-arbor.com for information and a list of certified arborists. |

Interesting that your local tree service could only identify the fact that they could not identify the problem!! (dump them and never call them again). 90% loss sounds terminal to me, and I suspect it has nothing to do with being a Norway Maple in New Jersey. I think you should get either an "ASCA Registered Arborist" on site or an "ISA Certified Arborist" on site and get the problem diagnosed. Good Luck, James. |
