I read an article in PopSci about essencila oils (Oct99 p.52) where these compounds are being used for new household pest control. They are in our food supply so are safe.

Anyone heard about comercial use for them? charituristics?.....

Neem,melaleuca,citronella are all essential oils derived from plants.
I haven't seen the article, so don't know the reference to octopamine blockers. Have you tried a search?
