I attended a Hazard Tree Evaluation seminar with Dr. Bruce Fraedrich a couple of weeks ago. It was a great seminar. I got to work with the Resistograph and learned some valuable information. Since then I have been unsuccessfully trying to get a 3mm drill bit with the 12" of twist that they use for the sounding tests. Dr. Fraedrich told me that Bartlett buys them in bulk direct from a machine shop in RI that makes them. Can anyone tell me how I can get a hold of a couple of these drill bits?

Thanks for the help.
Paul.

I think the supplier is Jamestown Distributing. I had some literature somewhere but if I could find it it would take longer than your just doing a web search.

I don't think it makes any difference if you get a bit close to 3mm in dia that is fractional inch sized... that might be easier to find here in US.

Try this page, but call and confirm length of flutes.
