Error- the chain lube story was in Journal of Forestry. Sierra Club Oregon Chapter had a story about 2-stroke pollution. Somewhere I read recently that there is a vegetable alternative to 2-stroke oil. That will not solve all 2-stroke problems, but it would help. I don't think there is a commercially viable 2-stroke vegetable oil yet. |

I had my guys using a biodegradable oil called "Bio-lube" and in pretty short order burned up all of my longer bars. The stuff was fine on saws up to 18 inches but wouldnt track around the longer bars. Just one product tried in one location, but the test results were not good. We returned to the gooy stuff. Wayne |
