Any opinions on which to choose: Vermeer BC 1000 or Bandit 90W? I especially would like to hear from BC 1000 owners. Its a relatively new machine, so I'm a little wary.

I've used the BC-1000 at several companies I work with. Very nice machine, and actualy rather quite (in a relative sence).

The PTO engage is near idiot proof, I like that it comes with both auto feed and feed wheel speed control.

Good machine for companies doing mostly prune work and no big removals.

I have had bad service with BAndit in the past, so have sworn off the brand. I know people that like the 90XP

Never had a bandit. Love my BC1000. 180 hours, eats 10 inch no problem, easy to maintain. Had one problem and Vermeer warranty fixed it. Easy knife change. I go through knives faster than with my Vermeer 935, I think they get trashed by foreign objects in the tree trunks. I nevere really put 9 inch wood into my 9 inch chipper, but this machine eats it up no problem.
