Tom,I live in NJ and purchased site unseen a bucket truck from NESCO,located in Indiana. That was 5 years ago. This month we had to replace the transmission. This was the first major problem with the truck. Also the prices are negotiable.I got them to knock $3500.00 off the price of the truck. Also ,I had it delivered for around $300.00.I figured that way if there were any things doctored up,they would appear by the time the truck was delivered. I would deal with them again. Bill Heres their address http://www.nescosales.com/ |

Another local tree company bought used chip truck from an advertiser in TCI & Arbor Age.The truck had originally been a bucket/chip box unit. The tower had been removed and the box streched to16'.As it turns out the hoist wasn't adequet to handle a 16' box.The guy was dumping a load and the hoist failed. The box slammed into the frame so hard it bounced him of the seat slamming his head into the roof knocking him unconsciuos. The frame looks a little bent too.If your looking at one of these make sure it has a hoist capable of handling the box.Oh yeah in addition to replacing the hoist he's also had to replace the "rebuilt"engine, transmission, and third member. |
