Is anyone familiar with the Morbark 290, 300hp, 6cyl chipper? What is the normal lifespan of a chipper? Does anyone have experience buying used chippers as old as 1990 and a couple of thousand hours? Are these chippers just ready to fall apart? Any ideas on what to expect for yearly maintenance cost? Or what needs replacing on chippers most often? This is obviously my first chipper so I would appreciate any input. Thanks

A10 yr old chipper is not very old, to most of us anyway. The usual maintanance. oil changes
etc. since chippers throw alot of dust change & or clean air filters.the blades will last along
time as long as you are chipping green brush.
& not chipping dead wood & pitch forks. It will take more maintance than your car,as your chipper runs at high speeds & works alot harder .
I hope I made some kind of since to you.
Sonny
