IBM apparently announced this devise in 1998. It is now on display at PC Expo 2000. Just caught tail end of a news piece. Don't know if it's on sale.

Palm (TM) sized footprint device, full PC cabability, head set includes eyeglass like display and microphone... software includes voice recognition.

Anybody get the availability and price details?

We've actually given the unit quite a workout down here in Engineering Cap'n. The entire schematic mechanicals and electricals are loaded into the unit and you can wear it right inside the warp engines when servicing them. Both hands free to use tools (or catch tribles) and all you have to do is glance at the eyepiec to see a full screen display of what your working on. Let's see "cut the green wire now... but only if the red wire is not attached. WARNING WARNING green wire improperly cut, leave the area immediately!"
