Does any one have any experience of Mycan Organic Tree Fertiliser. Having planted a number of biggish trees(25-30cm dbh) about twelve months ago in an urban setting, I am now considering the "why`s and why not`s" of fertiliser application. The trees themselves are in pits with irrigation tubes in place and are watered via a bowser on a weekly basis.

I am aware of all of the pitfalls associated with fertiliser application, but have the task of ensuring enough of a nutrient supply to the trees (hopefully without causing them to flush and fall over).

The aforementioned product has been recommended and I would appreciate any comments with regards to it.

It is in a granular form and has the make up : N,P,K - 5:2:2

Cheers Chaps

I have had real favorable results with Pana-sea by Emerald Isle.

It is a seweed emultion thatg is not dryed out. NPK annalysis is real low, but it has a wide spectrum of minor elements.

For stressed plants it has a high level of cytokinin, a root stimulating PGR.

The rate I used was 1:100 in water. All plants treated had a marked improvmment in color. A very large Ulmus americana treated I watched the uptacke int the crown progress day by day. The green just moved up the trunk and leaders.

Not much differance in annual growth increment, but ther was also a noticable increas in leaf size.
