Any one know the story behind why the formula for changing the condition rating of a tree due to loss of the cambium was dropped from the 9th ed.?

The formula for condition rating did not change. However, the council decided that the table for diminuition of value for bark/cambium loss was to subjective and certainly more species dependent than a chart or table could depict. Obviously, an appraiser would certainly take a large cambium loss, depending on other conditions and species, into consideration. lew |
