I am hoping some of you might be able to help me. I have a four-year degree in Forestry. I am an ISA certified arborist and I have completed the online plant appraisal course offered through ArborLearn.org. There are very few individuals in my area who offer plant appraisal services and I feel like this area of expertise could have a lot to offer the right person.

How does one get started in this area? Are there state agencies who might offer direction? Do I have to meet certain criteria such as certifications, or does completing the ArborLearn course pretty much cover those bases?

There is a lot more on this subject that I need to learn, but from what I can tell, most people who offer these services are constantly learning.

Any information you can provide on starting out would be greatly appreciated.
