My complex has ten birch trees. Their entire bark is shedding like a snake and is brown in color. At this time there does seem to be getting some leaves at top but they are an eyesore to look at.
What can be done? Will it eventually kill these trees?

Do you know what kind of birch trees they are? Many species of birch have bark that peels loose in sheet-like patches, often hanging 2 or 3 inches long like pieces of paper. This is normal for them, and may not indicate a problem. Can you send me a picture? (send to the webmaster of this site- click on Contact Us below)
