Hi Guys
Can anyone point me in the direction of some information. My Uncle makes English longbows and curremtly uses Hickory for the backing. Hickory has a high tensile strength but is difficult to come by in the UK and he is after an alternative. Anyone know of another timber with the same properties as Hickory? He uses Ash already, which was my suggestion.Idea or sources of infromation would be welcome.
