Help! I have a neighbour's Monterey pine overhanging my main entrance driveway to my front door. Pigeons sit in the tree and make a really distressing mess below (filthy, unhealthy and unavoidable) which all visitors walk through. The tree is protected and the local tree officer will not hear of any pruning at all to remove the overhanging branches. Can anyone give me some hot tips on how to discourage the pigeons effectively and permanently please?

And move it around regularly, I've heard that they get used to them after a while. Hawks too.
