I was wondering what the maximum root depth of Ponderosa Pine and Western Juniper is. The site they are found is an extremely sandy soil.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the link below and find the section on rooting habit. There is an index of trees at this site too, but I didn't look for Western Juniper.
In my own yard, in red clay soil, prime Ponderosa area, most of the roots are within about 24" to 30" deep.
