Go ahead, keep cutting, maybe at some point you might question the corellation between cutting and decay. Filling with cement would be a bad idea. When you finally decide that your sole option is removal, it will dull your chain! You have punished the tree well enough already, why not put it out of it's misery now?? James |

The wisest option is to find out what kind of tree it is so we all know what you're working with. Some evergreens will sprout from the base, some won't. Letting the poor thing start over again if it can is often the best option. Next time, before you touch a saw have a plan. Trees can be pruned to fit around wires and greenhouses if the pruner knows what he is doing. |
