WJ sure sounds like a nice old Q. stella you have at your new home. ..or rather a new home at your old Q.stella.The yellow could be chlorisis or lack of iron. Swimming pool drain close by? My first thought is about the amount of construction interference your root system suffered by dozers and trenchers. It sounds like to nice of a tree to lose. Consider looking the yellow page in tree service for an ISA Certified Arborist and have a professional evaluation done in the very near future. It's best to have one on hand prior to construction around your old trees. Somebody help his old tree!!!!!
