You could run a search on "Podocarpus" which is the genus and then you have around 20 likely species in that genus. Maybe if you have a good lirary near you they may have some illustrated plant books. Good Luck, James. | ||

Without seeing the plant in question however, it is not possible to identify it from the vague description you gave. I have been to the Medocino Coast Botanical Garden many times. My retired parents have been volunteers there for many years. I do not know of the particular specimen which interests you, but I am sure it must be accounted for in the plant accession database. Perhaps you could correspond with the MCBG to inquire about the particulars. It would help, of course, to have a map of the garden, so that you could pinpoint the location of that specimen. You might also inquire to find out if the Garden has a procedure for making inquiries during visits, in case an expert gardener is not available at the time. | ||
