I have a 20+ year old, beautiful 80ft Deodar Cedar tree that I love, except for the sap that comes when the cones drop every year. Is that common/healthy in this tree and is there anything I can do to reduce the sap?

Hi Barbara,

You aren't registered so I don't know if you'll come back for any information. I think the sap is coming from either aphids or spider mites. If you post again here I will give you more info and try to help.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
