My Bradford Pear Tree has always been rather thin in leafs. It is about 17 years old. The best growth is on the last 3 feet of the branchs. The drip line would be about 15 feet in diameter. On June 19th I added 3 Miracle Grow Spikes in an inner 5 foot radius hoping it might help. The tree just looks thin leafed and weak. Please advise. Thx!!!!!

The best advice in cases like this is to contact a good local arborist to check out the tree for you. There can be many reasons for the tree not looking too good. We could guess all week but without seeing the tree and its environment, they would be just guesses.

The International Society of Arboriculture maintains a current list of ISA Certified Arborists. The searchable list can be accessed at the ISA Web site, at:
http://www.isa-arbor.com

The American Society of Consulting Arborists can recommend highly qualified arborists and consultants in your area. Their web site and database is at

http://www.asca-consultants.org

or contact the main office at

American Society of Consulting Arborists

Good luck
