Help! I have a sick Maple Tree that I would like to save. I dont know what the problem is, but early in spring the tree set seed pods which were reddish brown in color. The bark is falling off in patches. I looked undeer some of the loose bark and it looks very dark and somewhat rotted. I havent seen any insects. It is starting to produce green leaves, but not nearly as many as it should. I would appreciate any help that can be provided. I live in New Hampshire.
Thanks
Twink

There is a chalky white substance on one main branch of my Norwegian Maple tree. The tree is lovingly pruned every three years to keep it from hitting nearby garages. my kids grew up with this tree and their kids love it as well. Please help me keep this tree healthy for the next generation. Thanks
