how can I treat a kwanzan chery that has a large split on the trunk and almost all of the leaves have fallen off and the few left have several holes on the leaves. please tell me how to save this tree!!

Contact a local ISA Certified Arborist for advice on this. The bark split and the leaf problem are likely to be unrelated.

Cherries often split during extrememly cold weather (‘frost cracks’), although there may be other reasons here. The leaf problem could be caused by many different things.

Keep in mind that we are into the autumn season, and many leaves are starting to show the effects of fall leaf senescence. Discoloration may not be an indication of a problem.
