has anyone had any experience in the salix alba 'flame'(red willow hybrid) or any general willow hybrid used as a privacy hedge. I would like to look into this but i would love to know if the root system is like the willow tree. Is it long growing and damaging just like the willow tree, if so, is there a way to contain this?

I don’t have personal experience with this cultivar, but it will most likely have a root system very similar to the parent species.
