A doctor would not make a firm diagnosis over the phone with so little information. Without more descriptive details, it is hard to know what you are seeing. For instance, the holes may be cut-outs from insect chewing, or they may be areas of necrosis from which dead cells have fallen. I personally don't have direct experience with River birch in my area. However I found a reference to damaging agents for this species. You may read that information at the following site. |
