Are there any flowering vines that will survive in close proximity to black walnut trees?
I am aware that they are toxic to a lot of plants. We are looking for something that will grow in zone 5.
If there are no flowering vines, can you suggest any specific flowers that will survive instead.
Thank you.

Actually, quite a number of plants can be found under black walnuts: try morning glory, lungwort, Siberian iris, snowdrop, some narcissus, mapleleaf viburnum, blackhaw viburnum, sedum, Spanish bluebell, moneywort, 'Gibralter' and 'Balzac' azaleas, and others, too.
