One Siberaian Elm of a group of 6 with over lapping canopies is having a problem I can't identify. Leaves have many necrotic
spots, some coalescing to the point that half of the leaf is dead. Some leaves have what looks more like washed out areas
along the midrib. Some of the still succulent twigs have lesions completely girdling the twig. We haven't appreciable rain for a
month. We had a couple of wet weeks as these trees leafed out. I'd appreciate any help. James

Is there a small raised black area at the center of the chlorotic/necrotic spots?
Search for elm diseases (Google is my favorite engine) and check the info/pictures to see if you think it looks like elm black spot, a fungus.

For some pictures of elm tree diseases, check out www.elmcare.com and click on the "Elm Tree Diseases" link on the left side.

I hope this helps.
