Site conditions matter a lot in selecting evergreens, so advice over the internet is not going to help much. Check with your local DEC office or Cooperative Extension, both of whom should have publications on relatively deer-proof plantings for your area. Extension has a publication called "Resistance of Woody Ornamental Plants to Deer Damage" that should help. Remember, though, that when deer population is high and little food is available, they will eat anything. |
