Pines turning brown is not a good sign! It is the result of needle death, which may be caused by a variety of factors, including abiotic conditions, pathogens, or injury. In other words, anything from toxic exposure, to drought, to root damage, to insects, to fungi, to over-watering, etc. I suggest you get a local professional to assess the situation. It is possible to find the likely cause on your own, by researching the tree species/cultivar and damaging agents to which it is susceptible. You can investigate the condition of your soil, evaluate the tree's access to water, look for signs of insects, etc. These are the kinds of information an arborist would need to have in order to know what is going on with your trees. Good luck.
