My sister gave me a copy of the book, "The First Forest" by John Gile several years ago for Christmas. It is not a highly technical publication, but it has been an ideal book to use to introduce very young people to forestry. I have used it at a couple of presentations for Mother-Daughter Banquets and other such events.

Just a fun book for kids that happened to hit the best seller list back a few years ago when Roy Leonard happened to mention it on his radio show on WGN in Chicago.
