Appendix II Significant Figures on page 131 uses 8th Edition terminology. The text prominently presents the terms BASIC VALUE and BASIC PRICE which have been replaced in 9th with BASIC TREE COST and UNIT TREE COST respectively. The Example on page 132 similarly uses BASIC PRICE and suggests it equals "Cost" divided by Trunk Area. There is also some imprecision here since the Trunk Formula Method text on pages 70-71 indicates that the UNIT TREE COST properly equals (PLANT REPLACEMENT COST + INSTALATION COST) divided by REPLACEMENT TREE SIZE or TAr.
This could be confusing the reader who A) sees those obsolete terms and wonders where they are in text and B) has to go back to text to find the components of cost and the proper trunk area to be used. This distracts from the principal topic of Significant Figures.
