Russ, yesterday I started getting error boxes saying "there was an errors running scripts on this page, do you want to continue?" Seemed like 3-4 sequentially on each new page. Messages like "unconfirmed script" or "undefined tag." It happenned again this morning on another computer system away from home, so it's not just my machine.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Maybe it doesn't like your new color scheme.

I suspect a problem at the server. I have not experienced any trouble, last night or today. There is no posting of server problems on the host support clinic, so it may have been a line problem or a temporary server glitch. Let me know if it continues or happens again, so I can report it.

Still happening at 6:30 AM 4/18. These are the type or errors... The line 1 message is fairly constant... can't find pattern in the others... each new page produces two or three of these before settling down. I'll try on another machine this evening.

Line 2239 Char 15 Error Unterminated string constant Code 0
Line 1 Char: 2 Error 'acc' is undefined Code 0
Line 2280 Char 1 Error 'tag' is undefined Code 0
Line 231 Char: 16 Error Undetermined String Constant Code 0
Line 272 Char: 1 Error 'tag' is undefined Code 0

After a bit of sleuthing, the conclusion we come to is one I have dreaded for awhile, for various reasons. It seems this board has grown a bit too large, and the host servers are having a bit of a time handling it smoothly. The recommendation is to go on a diet.

I have held off doing this for two main reasons. The first is that there is a lot of great information on the board, and being a pack-rat at heart, I have a tough time trowing useful things away. The second reason is a little more on the practical side. I have to sit down and delete the threads one at a time.

There is some good news, in that I have already started preparing for this. I have downloaded all files prior to January 4 of this year, and have archived them. So all is not lost, but they won't be available for direct access on this board. See my other message above about how you would like to see this handled.

I will start clearing some of the messages within the next few days. I will appreciate any comments on how this might affect you, including improvements or decreases in handling or access.

Hi Russ and all friends out there. I have been away for a while and now on my return all seems swell. Thanks. Colin
