Hello from the ISA Cyberlounge in Stamford Connecticutt. If you aren't here, you're missing a great conference!

And aren't you glad your CTPA colleagues twisted your arm and got you to stay for the closing banquet? |

Haven't seen any 'bears' here in Bear. They find the heat and drought un-bear-able. It was great to see you again, Kim, and all the others I met again or for the first time. These conferences are among the best experiences, as they keep one in touch with what is happening in arboriculture, close to home and around the world. Where else can you discuss stump grinding techniques in Europe, the States and Downunder? (Well, besides in The Knothole!) Next stop- San Antonio! |

Actually Scott, twisting my arms didn't quite do it, it was when they twisted my legs that I gave in... I did have nice time- but, I should have gone with you to the hospitality suite as the traffic on I95 was backed up due to construction. Chris D and I, at one point, were side by side on the highway discussing that very thing. I just caught Lew Bloch on CNN-Headline News- he was discussing the drought and its affects on the trees this year. Kim :^) |

Be careful going down the road... if you look in your rearview mirrors, you're likely to see a bear. |

Hi Kim, I was wondering if anyone saw me on World Today. We taped for about an hour, and I really had some good and pithy stuff to say. Unfortunately, none of it got on air. verytreelylew |

Sorry Lew, I just saw you on Headline News-maybe they took an excerpt from your hour long discussion.? Actually, I would not have known it was you except for meeting you at the conference. I'll keep looking. Kim ![]() |

Lew, your stuff is always good and pithy isn't it? That's a problem on consumer TV, you need to adjust and provide some meaninglessly shallow sound bites. |

Kim, again, I relize now you saw me on Headline news. It was also on the 10:00 O'Clock national program, and I just heard it was on Sunday Morning as well. I was NOT ON for an hour....I taped an hour and they left out all the good stuff. Scott, babe, I didn't realize that I was always pithy. Maybe some other descriptive terms.... Verytreelylew |

Good observation Russ. Reminds me of one of Shigo's lectures: stems & branches have pith, roots don't. Does that mean Lew can't get to the root of the problem? |

Come on youse guys, I suffer enough abuse at home! I don't need any more on the internet. Verbose? Moi? I guess I need a new agent. Anyone out there want to apply? I'll pay 20 per cent of my TV revenues. verytreelylew |
