I am happy to say that our milquetost gov'nr did a line item veto on the billboard visibility amendment.

The Milwukee Journal/Sentinal gets most of the credit for its activist reporting on the subject.

As a native Wisconsinite, I'm glad to hear this news.
Let the newspaper take all the credit. That'll spur their future activism. In the report on NC's $86,850 settlement, I praise the reporter who wrote the story even though he (and the prosecuting attorney) let it sit for months until I badgered them into action.
We need the media's power to advocate for trees.
They love praise for their efforts as much as any 6-year old. Lay it on thick every chance you get.
