I presently own 100 acres with many different varieties of trees. I am buying 10 acres in another location. This property is mostly field, no trees. I was thinking about transplanting some seedlings from one property to another. Someone told me that this is against the law. I never heard anything like that. Could this be true? I live in northern Michigan. Thanks for the help.

The only reason this might be prohibited in some areas are quarantine situations. If you cross national or state borders, there could be import issues. If the properties are in the same municipal area, I don't think there would be a problem. You might check with the state Dept of Natural Resources (or whatever they call it in Michigan).
