Dear Russ Re: Driveways/Roads over roots I've sent some good stuff - see Page 10 Alos, I have yet to learn of your feelings on BS 5837 and NJUG pub 10, or are you so very busy that you are unable to acknowledge their potential in the US? Paul H. |

Russ see my 10/14 re:concrete info. I did discuss a curb installation of this type with an architect years ago. He desribed the installation as a "grade beam." You might have some luck asking for input from an engineer on this type structure. Municipal work is typically to some code, maybe ASHRE? (American Society of Highway and Roadway Engineers?) If federal funds are involved there may be federal standards. You may get some info from Cornell if they had to get approvals for their structural soils installations. |

I have indeed been too busy to do more than browse through the BS 5837 standards. I think I'm over the hump, and the work load should even out a bit in the next few weeks. I haven't forgotten it! Thanks for sending the other info. Will read that a little later. |
