We have finished moving old message topics (threads) to the new The Knothole. Although the Section names are slightly different, the subject matter is mostly the same topics. You can now view and read all the old messages that were there before. There may be a few more very recent posts to move.

A big difference- the new forum system does not ‘thread’ the messages. It displays them chronologically. In the forum topic lists, the most recent topics are displayed first, to make it easier to see what is new. When you open a topic, the message and replies are list in order of posting. They are NOT threaded, so you have to be careful in following the thread and the replies. We can’t do anything about this- it is a host software issue.

Also note that older topics cannot be replied to. Any topic that has gone more than 90 days without a new reply is automatically closed and new posts are not allowed. If you wish to repsond to one, quote the relevant parts and start a new topic thread.

The old ASCA Discussion section has been archived as Read Only. There was very little traffic there, anyway. If you have questions about the American Society of Consulting Arborists, go directly to their web site at ASCA website
