What the heck is UBB Code? This is special formatting code used on the board, similar to HTML (but regular HTML is disabled here). This UBB Code is the source code that tells the board how to display the message to provide some formatting.
For example, you can create a list format:
These options are available to all users, by selecting the icon buttons at the top of the message box in new messages. While you see the bracketed code in your message when you write it, it will not show up that way when you post to the board. And you will quickly learn the codes so you can just type them in, if you prefer.
Attachments can be included in your messages now. You simply write your message, then select the attachment (paperclip) button. Find the file you want to attach on your local hard disk and enter a description of the file. Readers will see an attachment icon and the description at the bottom of the message. Double-clicking on the link will display the attachment or start downloading it to the readers hard disk (depending on the file type and their browser setup).
You can attach any type of file- images, documents, zip or sit files, etc. The only catch- there is a limit of 300 Kb file size (sorry, I still have to pay for this space!)
The same restrictions on content apply to attachments. It must be appropriate for general viewing and meet forum criteria. As with all board content, the administration and moderators have the last word on what is acceptable.
I've noticed that the <hr> code used some places does not work here. IS there one that substitues to palce a speratring line?
