Other new features available to registered users- Polls, and Private Topics. Both can be created (by registered users) by clicking the New button and selectin the option from the popup list.

A Poll allows you to ask a specific question, and provide up to 5 pre-defined answers. You can view the results of the poll any time. See an example in the Dear Editor topic section.

Private Topics are just what you’d guess- a topic discussion open only to readers you specify. You must be registered to start or participate. The user who starts the topic can select who gets invited. Create a Contacts List (see the Tools > Help file), and select invitees from your own list. You can easily add other readers to your list by clicking on their name in any post, and selecting ‘Add to My Contacts‘ from the popup list.
