Paul Cowie & Associates (PC&A) is a rapidly expanding consulting firm that provides technical assistance in all aspects of arboriculture and urban forestry to a variety of private and public clients.
Our services include shade tree inventories and assessments, community forest management planning, tree protection during construction and land development, diagnosis and problem-solving, plant health care monitoring, site analysis and planting recommendations, and project management.
PC&A serves "high-end" residential estate and corporate landowners, landscape architects, engineers, land developers, and government agencies throughout New Jersey and New York City. We function as both the primary consultant on tree management projects and as a subconsultant or design team specialist on large, multidisciplinary projects.
This is a junior staff position for an individual with a degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related discipline and 1 - 3 years work experience in a related field. It requires strong interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills, self-motivation and discipline, and the ability to complete multiple tasks by required deadlines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the completion of a wide variety of projects, both indoors and out, including tree inventories, inspections and evaluations, contractor supervision, report writing, research, and management plan development.
Compensation includes a starting salary of $25,000 - $33,000 commensurate with qualifications plus benefits. Bonus and profit sharing opportunities available after one year.
